This week it's been snowing here at Jyväskylä and next weekend it's going to be sleet and snow around the country. Howerver the snow is not the problem, but the frost. Next night it's going to be -5°C here.

Such cold nights at this time of year are very harmful for fruit and berry farming. Considering the date, it is colder than usual. Crop lost may be big and prices are likely to raise. Cold weather brings extra costs also, because fight against global warming and CO2 emissions has raised the energy prices and extra heating is needed.
