Surgery has been done, bandages are removed , bleeding has ended and I'm very tired but ready to go home.
There are great events in your life, which you remember your whole life. You may remember your child's first words, the day you finished high school, when you got your driving license or perhaps even the day (or one of those days) you got married.
I remember watching the x-ray of my head at the light table, without understanding anything about it. I was hoping to hear good news, but instead doctor said that the tumour is widely spread and it cannot be "taken off" and no one in the room was smiling.
Health seems to be something, that you appreciate after you have lost it. You expect everything going fine and that diseases are just something for the old people. But would it be wise to try to maintain the health? Should you consider, what you eat, drink, smoke, do or not do? I believe that health is easier to maintain than achieve again.
This one is benign and will not kill me and I'm able to maintain my life and daily routines. I like more living than worrying. It's just that my nostrils need to be opened time to time. Of course there are risks at the surgery, but this far I have only lost my ability to smell. Now I've been in six surgeries and I'm likely to take the seventh in next three years. At the moment I'm once again home at sick leave. This is a kind of hell for a physical guy like me - no bicycling, running, shooting or sauna for a while.
Luckily (and sorry for you) I have my computer. I'm trying to built up a site with Joomla, which I have no previous experience. Once a while my mouth fills with little amount red blood as the woulds still bleed deep in my head. But I have this theory, that with a blood taste in the mouth, persons are likely to try harder ;-)
That sounds horrible, Pasi. Thank goodness it's a benign tumour and that they can treat it every now and then so that you can lead a normal life.
Losing your sense of smell is a shame - though I guess you could apply for a job in Sweden as an official Sürstromming opener....
Pasi, I'm glad to hear it's a benign tumor. It is unfortunate you can't do the physical things you like to do right now.....maybe now we will see more ant articles? Please take care of yourself, you will be back to your old activities soon I'm hope.
Oh, Pasi...take care of yourself. You're a strong guy with a great attitude about the tumor.
Pasi, take care of yourself mate, we'll all pray for your good health; and the ants will pray too :)
