Next week I'll have to be offline. It's time for one more military refreshment training. Like 80% of Finnish males, I did my conscription and I was trained to be infantry office for rifle company. I have received also guerrilla and anti-tank training. But it's not all over after conscription. I'll have to practice almost every year in my military task, to be skilled enough, if needed.
I'm not that willing to go at the moment, because my son has just started his school, and there sure is some work to be done at my working place, but I'll have to go. I've been waiting for Finland to join NATO to save me, but that seems to be a far dream. So, in 36 hours, I will go.
A week in army means NO for:
- phone
- camera
- Vodka
- women
- Internet
Of course military training is not just bad things. I'll have
- totally free health care
- free food (sometimes available)
- a lot of things to do, but sleep
But wait! There's more...
- company rifle & helmet
- uniform (close to your size)
Well week will go fast and there may be a possibility to get a short "Internet holiday", because my Internet small business. So with some luck and superiors will, I'll might be writing here next Wednesday evening.
