There they were.

Identification going on.

Tube connected to new home Valhalla.

The beauty.
So yesterday it finally happened. I was able to hunt two ant queens for one of my formicariums. Recently I had been focusing on two specific areas on our yard. Actually the definition of the species is still going on on our Finnish ant forum, but I have received some support that they really are queens and they belong to Myrmicinae subfamily.
Now they are in their new home Valhalla which has been waiting for inhabit'ants nearly for three months. Gladly I had the nest ready so I only added some water in the farm, and honey, sugar and water to the feeding area. Hopefully they are queens and they will survive.
I named the bigger as Oldfogey.
