I saw bigtasty's seed about Make Fish Your Favourite Pet and I came up with the idea to write about my new hobby - ants. And as we all know, every girl's dream is to find a boyfriend who has ants, so at the beginning I have to remind you that I'm already married.

The first thing to do is to make a nest (formcarium) for your colony. If you are not "natural born engineer" you can always buy one from Internet as I did. If you lack of imagination but still wish to make your own nest try to get inspiration here.

The second thing is to capture at least queen but perhaps a whole colony. And again if you are not "natural born hunter", as I am, you can buy ants from Internet. I have not been able to conduct this second task, it is not the lack of hunting skills but our cold climate and so the most ants are still sleeping.

The third thing the is to nurse your colony and make it blossom. And again if you are not "natural born leader" you can educate yourself to be at least a better one with ant-forums. Forums are good places to find more information.
